BIOGRAPHY

Ron Coello is a freelance photographer specialising in work for the public and private sectors, the not-for-profit sector, corporate, weddings and private commissions.

Ron’s recent commissions include the opening of the Supreme Court where he photographed VIPs including Her Majesty the Queen and the Prime Minister. Ron takes the official photographs of the
Law Lords.

He covered the arrival of the
new Home Secretary at the
Home Office and took the official portraits of the Ministers.

Ron is the photographer of
major corporate events for the Wentworth Club.

He has recently completed a large project for the NHS.

Ron is available for personal tuition and is currently teaching adult education classes in photography.


REPORTAGE

Ron has documented the work of
a number of charities in Africa
and the Middle East, which meant visiting some of the worst areas of conflict in the world.

The Lebanon
Palestinian refugee camps at
Nahr El Bared, Sidon, Tyre and Shatila in Beirut.

Palestine
Hebron and Ramallah in
The West Bank, Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

The Sudan
The displacement camps that surround the capital Khartoum.

PUBLICATIONS

A portfolio of his work taken in Palestine and Lebanon was published in the British Journal of Photography in February 2009.

Ron is a member of the National Union of Journalists and has had his work included in their annual ‘Excellence in Photography’ exhibitions in 2007 and 2009.

Ron’s work has also been published in The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent and several international newspapers.

Some of Ron’s work is represented and published by a number of picture agencies including Millennium Images and Social Stock.

Uganda

Ron travelled to Northern Uganda in November 2011 with the UK charity Jubilee Action. 

 

2012 London Paralympics

Ron is currently working on a long term project with the GB Team rider Sophie Christiansen documenting her build up to the 2012 London Paralympics. At the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, Sophie was part
of the Gold medal winning team in addition to taking the Individual Gold - Grade La Freestyle and Individual Silver.
