NAHR EL BARED, REFUGEE
CAMP, THE LEBANON

In 2008 Ron visited the Palestinian
refugee camp of Nahr El Bared in
Northern Lebanon.

The purpose of the visit was to
document the work of a number of
charities following the siege of the
camp in 2007. During the siege
80% of homes in the camp were
destroyed, leaving 5,000 families
displaced.

Entry to the destroyed camp
is forbidden and all photography
prohibited. Despite this Ron
managed to gain access to various
parts of the camp, which resulted
in a series of pictures, exhibited in
Beirut in 2008 and 2009, entitled
‘3 days in Nahr El Bared’.
